Moon over Rennell Sound

Shields Bay, on the west coast of the Charlottes at the head of Rennell Sound, is a much-favoured shelter for fishing boats. The "Thunderbird Moon" depicted here was taken from a wooden representation of the crest of the Haida "Pebble Town People".
