Summer Solstice
Central to the North's cosmos is Juuyee (Sun) as it inexorably shares neverending light during Summer Solstice. Under this nurturing is a remote archipelago, Haida Gwaii, home to the Haida. Here all are Ravens or Eagles.
This mandala, representing a microcosm of life, focuses embryonic light to shared vision. Primary to this, Raven the Creator in its solitary orbit is questioning, challenging...learning. Next, concentric but direction opposed is Eagle searching, soaring...seeing. Enveloping all through transposition are both birds circling on the same plane in perfect synchronicity. This harmonious union as celestial embrace for all to see is cause for celebration.
